The first scrimmage of Texas Tech’s preseason camp will be open to the public as Red Raider fans are invited to attend the Aug. 5 practice inside Jones AT&T Stadium.

Due to ongoing construction related to the Sports Performance Center, fans are encouraged to park in the commuter lots west of Jones AT&T Stadium and enter through Gate 1 at the southwest corner of the facility. Gates will open at 2:30 p.m. for the scrimmage, which is slated to run for one hour beginning with a 3 p.m. start.

In addition to the open scrimmage, the Tech Ticket Office will be on hand to assist fans in selecting their seat for the 2017 season. Select seats are still available and ticket representatives will be able to process new ticket orders on site.

Season tickets are priced for as low as $184 a seat for all six games inside Jones AT&T Stadium. Fans wishing to purchase prior to Aug. 5 can do so by visiting the online portal at TexasTech.com or by contacting the Tech Ticket Office at 806-742-TECH.

The list of ticket options for 2017 includes the “Red Raider Pass,” a mobile-only selection designed for recent Texas Tech graduates looking for an affordable and convenient ticket plan. The “Red Raider Pass” is on sale for $150 a seat and can be purchased by visiting www.TexasTech.com/RedRaiderPass.

Mini-plan options are also available for just $120 a seat, allowing fans to choose one game between Oklahoma State (Sept. 30) or TCU (Nov. 18) and then two others from Eastern Washington (Sept. 2), Arizona State (Sept. 16), Iowa State (Oct. 21) or Kansas State (Nov. 4).

Tech head coach Kliff Kingsbury will see his team report for preseason workouts this Sunday prior to its first practice of the 2017 season the following day. The Red Raiders will have five full weeks of practice before opening the fifth season under Kingsbury on Sept. 2 against Eastern Washington.
