Texas Tech fell to Kansas 80-79 on Saturday in the United Supermarkets Arena after Zach Smith fouled Josh Jackson with three second left. Jackson went on to make 1-of-2 of the free throws to put the Jayhawks up, giving them the final lead.
Keenan Evans led the team with a career-high 25 points. Niem Stevenson had 22 points, while Zach Smith totaled 21 points against Kansas.
The Red Raiders move to 16-8 overall and 4-7 in Big 12 play.
Texas Tech will rally back as they prepare for the No. 6 Baylor Bears on Monday at 6 p.m. inside the United Supermarkets Arena.
