Texas Tech snapped a seven-match losing streak to Baylor with a 3-1 win in the Big 12 opener Wednesday in Waco.
The Red Raiders dropped the first set 25-13 but answered right back winning the second set 25-11 to even the match up and never looked back.
Freshman Brooke Kanas led the team with 17 kills in the win.
The victory was Texas Tech’s first Big 12 road win over a ranked team since 2004.
The Red Raiders (9-3) return home to host West Virginia at 1 p.m. Saturday at United Supermarkets Arena.
