The Slaton Tigers and Shallowater Mustangs met at Texas Tech on Friday in the area round championship round of the playoffs.
Slaton took the early 12-11 lead after the first quarter. In the second, the Tigers expanded their lead to 28-23 before going on to win 52-48.
Shallowater finishes the season 16-7. Slaton will take on Childress at 7pm in Canyon on Tuesday.
