Texas Tech softball continues its extended road trip to start the season with a visit to Tuscaloosa, Alabama for the Easton Bama Bash

The Red Raiders (6-4) open play with Gardner-Webb at 11 a.m. Friday then follow with No. 10 Alabama at 6 p.m.

“It’s going to be a great experience for our team and really going to help us going into conference environments,” assistant Sam Marder said. “I think what we want from our team is to just go play our brand of softball.”

The Red Raiders meet a second time at 4 p.m. on Saturday.

“Just taking one away from Alabama would be a huge deal especially in their house with their fan base,” senior Devon Thomey said.

After their second meeting with the Crimson Tide, Texas Tech faces Central Florida at 6 p.m. Saturday.

The Red Raiders wrap up play against Gardner-Webb at 11 a.m. Sunday.
