Depth can be a fickle thing in high school football…some days you have plenty of it…others, you could be really hustling to field a team.
The Floydada Whirlwinds are hopeful the injury bug stays away as depth will be an issue in 2016.
Last year saw the Whirlwinds make it to the post season after a 3-2 district mark. They will call on some of their veteran leadership to help them through a tough district featuring the likes of Abernathy, New Deal, Hale Center, Olton, and Sundown.
Floydada open the season on the road August 26th at Slaton.
