Texas Tech softball goes on the road, starting Friday, to rekindle their rivalry with former Big 12 foe #10 Texas A&M.
Friday’s meeting will mark the first time Tech has played against one of their former Big 12 members since a neutral site contest versus Nebraska — the only other such meeting.
“I think it’s great for [the state of] Texas, it’s a great rivalry,” said head coach Adrian Gregory, a former Texas A&M softball player. “It’s [a rivalry] that’s missing, so I think for Texans it’s a really great event.”
The Aggies hold the all-time series lead, 27-12.
