On Sunday night Texas Tech basketball was not selected by the NIT selection committee.
Following Selection Sunday for the 2017 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament, the NIT announced their 32-team field that did not include Texas Tech.
Unless Texas Tech basketball looks into the College Basketball Invitational, being left out of the NIT will likely put a bow on the Red Raiders season. Texas Tech finished the 2017 regular season (18-14 Overall, 6-12 Big 12).
