Go ahead and chalk up another after they inked a hometown stud on Monday afternoon.
Lubbock Coronado’s Jarrett Culver signed with the Red Raiders. He’s ranked as the No. 39 shooting guard in the 2017 class per 247sports.com.
The local talent’s stock took off this summer after he averaged 18 points and five rebounds in three games at a Nike showcase tournament.
After that point, it didn’t take Chris Beard long to throw his hat in the ring once he got on campus.
“He hit it quick. The first or second day he came. He offered me the first day and that spoke volumes to me. I mean I was just excited he came in and he offered me,” Culver said. “He’s just a great coach he’s all about winning and I mean I love winning to so I mean we’re gonna connect. you gotta love who loves you and I just feel all the love from the whole coaching staff coach beard coach Adams, coach Ogden, the whole coaching staff I mean I felt comfortable with them.”
