Tuesday night Texas Tech beat number 25 Kansas State to improve to 11-0 at home and 13-3 (2-2) on the season.
Keenan Evans made a layup with 15 seconds left to give the Red Raiders the lead for good. Evans led the team with 18 points, 16 of those came in the second half.
Zach Smith had another big game with 16 points and 7 rebounds, but did miss some crucial free throws down the stretch.
The junior went to the line with 49 seconds left and a chance to give Tech the lead, but came up empty on both free throws.
On the next possession Keenan Evans came up with a steal and sent it ahead to Niem Stevenson who had his layup blocked. Evans was there to clean up the rebound and give Texas Tech the win.
Next up, the Red Raiders head to Oklahoma on Saturday night. The Sooners are coming off a loss to number 4 Kansas and are 0-4 in conference play.
