Texas Tech shot 52.5 percent from the field and five Red Raiders scored in double figures in an 87-50 win over UT-San Antonio Wednesday.

Niem Stevenson was forced into the starting lineup when Zach Smith rolled his ankle during warmups.

Stevenson scored a season-high 16 points, grabbed five rebounds and added three assists in the win.

Keenan Evans also scored 16 points for the Red Raiders, who won their fifth straight game and improved to 8-1 on the season.

Texas Tech returns to the court against Nicholls State at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the United Supermarkets Arena.
