Texas Tech unable to defeat its second-ranked opponent in a row as the Red Raiders fell to the No. 3 Kansas Jayhawks 85-68 on Saturday at Allen Fieldhouse. The Red Raiders will have to wait until next year to defeat Kansas inside the iconic venue.

Texas Tech had 28 three pointers against the Jayhawks, while junior forward Zach Smith and senior forward Aaron ross finished the night with 17 points. The Red Raiders fall to 12-3 overall and 1-2 in conference play.

The Red Raiders will host Kansas State at United Supermarkets Arena on January 10.
