In one of the most explosive offensive games you will ever see, 16th ranked Oklahoma outlast Texas Tech 66-59.
The two teams combined for an astounding 1708 yards of total offense and 78 first downs.
Patrick Mahomes threw for a career high 734 yards and added five touchdowns but it was not enough for the Red Raiders.
Joe Mixon carved up the Tech defense with 263 yards and two TD’s, the running back added a 56 yard receiving touchdown to add on to a huge night.
In his return to Lubbock Baker Mayfield had a great night with 545 passing yards and seven touchdowns, setting an OU record for TD’s in a game.
With the loss Texas Tech falls to 3-4 and 1-3 in the Big 12.
Next up for the Red Raiders is a road showdown with TCU.
