Wednesday morning Derrick Willies signed his National Letter of Intent to play football at Texas Tech University.
The Athens native is a 6’4’’, 210-pound wide receiver and is rated as a 4-star prospect according to Rivals.com. Willies chose the Red Raiders over offers from Arizona State, BYU, California, Missouri, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and TCU.
Red Raider Nation projects Willies as seeing immediate playing time in 2016, with the opportunity to start.
