Texas Tech offensive lineman Le’Raven Clark heard his name called on the second day of the 2016 NFL Draft as the three-time All-Big 12 first team selection was selected by the Indianapolis Colts on Friday evening.

Clark, taken with the 82nd overall pick, becomes the fifth Red Raider taken in the third round or higher since 2009, joining Michael Crabtree (1st Round – 2009), Darcel McBath (2nd Round – 2009), Louis Vasquez (3rd round – 2009) and Jace Amaro (Second Round – 2014).

Clark, a native of Rockdale, Texas, started all 51 games of his illustrious Red Raider career, which included three All-Big 12 first team selections, numerous All-American honors and three appearances on both the Lombardi and Outland Trophy watch lists.

Clark was part of a Red Raider offensive line in 2015 that only allowed 27 sacks and was among the nation’s leaders in fewest tackles for loss allowed. He helped pave the way for DeAndre Washington to become the first Red Raider in 20 years to record back-to-back 1,000-yard rushing seasons.

The Red Raiders boasted one of the top offenses in college football this past season as Texas Tech ranked second nationally in total offense, passing offense and scoring offense. Tech also ranked among the top 40 teams in the country in rushing offense as well.

The NFL Draft concludes with the fourth through seventh rounds on Saturday afternoon. Fans can follow Texas Tech football on Twitter andInstagram for updates on Red Raiders being drafted or signing with NFL teams this weekend.
