Texas Tech University confirmed Tuesday that quarterback Jett Duffey has been suspended for the spring and summer semesters.
Tech spokesman Chris Cook told the Red Raider Nation Tuesday evening that Duffey’s suspension was imposed by the university because it was not a team-related issue. Cook also said Duffey is eligible to return in the fall.
Duffey enrolled at Texas Tech last January and participated in spring practice but was redshirted this season.
Duffey’s suspension was first reported by the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal.
