Texas Tech knocked off No. 14 Iowa State in overtime, 85-82, Wednesday night at the United Supermarkets Arena.

Tech trailed by as much as nine in the game but fought back to tie the game at 78 to force extra time. In overtime, with two seconds left on the shot clock, Keenan Evans got the ball off an inbounds play and banked in a 3-point shot from nearly mid-court. That gave the Red Raiders the lead 83-80.

Georges Niang sank two shots from the charity stripe to cut the lead to one, but Zach Smith drained clutch free throws of his own to seal the victory.

Aaron Ross led the team with 20 points while Devaugntah Williams got out of his current slump, posting 19 points of his own.

The win moves the Red Raiders to 4-7 in Big 12 play and 14-11 overall. Next up, Texas Tech goes on the road to face Baylor this Saturday at 7 p.m.
