The Texas Tech Red Raider volleyball team is headed to Portland for their first of three games in the Portland State Tournament.
Head Coach Tony Graystone said he’s looking to unite the team this weekend.
“This team is a little bit bigger and high above the net, a little more physical. The ball control may not be what I’m used to but that’s something we are working on every day. But this team can score points so that’s a big deal,” Graystone said.
He added this team can score points and that’s a big deal.
Alyssa Ybanez, a junior outside hitter, said she can see the team dynamic changing.
“It’s a new tone and it’s a different family, but honestly I’ve never seen a team kick it off so quick with chemistry and the vibe in the locker room is so good,” Ybanez said.
The Red Raiders will face off against the University of Colorado on Friday at 8:30 p.m.
