In the sixth-round of the 2016 NFL Draft, Texas Tech wide receiver Jakeem Grant was selected No. 186 overall by the Miami Dolphins.

Grant was the the third Red Raider taken in this NFL Draft, following Le’Raven Clark who was selected No. 82 overall by the Indianapolis Colts, and Deandre Washington who was selected No. 143 overall by the Oakland Raiders.
