Three Lady Raiders have earned All-Big 12 honors following the 2016-17 season, the Big 12 announced Wednesday afternoon.

Freshman Brittany Brewer was named to the Big 12 All-Freshman Team, becoming the third freshman in program history to earn a spot in their rookie season.

She leads all Big 12 freshmen with a 49.5 percent shooting average. Brewer ranks second in Big 12 freshmen averaging 6.3 rebound per game this season.

Brewer recorded her first career double-double against Iowa State (Jan. 4) with 10 points and 14 rebounds.

Sophomore Recee’ Caldwell and senior Ivonne CookTaylor were named All-Big 12 Honorable Mention for their successful seasons in conference play.

This is Caldwell’s first conference award of the season. During conference play, she led the team with 12.3 points per game. Caldwell ranks in the top five among Big 12 players in two statistical categories. She has averaged 2.6 three-point field goals per game, the second most in the Big 12, and stands fourth in the league with 4.4 assists per game.

Caldwell still holds the individual game high for most points after she scored 38 against Texas A&M on Nov. 17.

This is the second straight All-Big 12 Honorable Mention selection for CookTaylor. She sits second on the team in scoring with 10.9 points per Big 12 game. CookTaylor shot 53.8 percent from beyond the arc against conference opponents this season.

CookTaylor also scored 20+ points in back-to-back home wins to close out her senior season.
