Lubbock ISD, Lubbock Dive Club and Lubbock Sports hosted the USA Diving Region 11 Championships at the Pete Ragus Aquatic Center on Sunday.
Divers from Texas, New Mexico, Nevada and Arizona came to the Hub City to take the first step in the qualification process towards the Summer National Championships.
In the 16-18 year old division, four divers represented Lubbock. Sydnee Cooper finished 25th in the girls division, while in the boys division, Isaac Lovell placed 8th, Gabe Vega placed 10th, and Thad Zuber placed 13th. In the 14-15 boys division, Jacob Makuta placed 4th and Connor Anstey finished 2nd.
