Lubbock High hosted Abilene Cooper at Westerner Arena on Friday night.
The Westerners trailed 31-25 with just under four minutes to go in the third quarter, but a Jake Brownfield jumper put momentum on their side. Later in the quarter, Ethan Espinosa would come up with a steal take it all the way for the layup and get fouled to tie the game up. The teams would go back and forth from there, with Lubbock High coming out on top 62-57 in double overtime.
Next up for the Westerners, the will visit Lubbock Cooper on Tuesday to wrap up the regular season.
