The No. 6 Texas Tech Women’s Tennis team earned its 11th-straight win of the season with a 4-2 victory over No. 36 Oklahoma (10-6, 0-4 Big 12) on Sunday at The Falls Tennis & Athletic Club.

With the win, the Lady Raiders (18-3, 6-0 Big 12) stayed undefeated in Big 12 play entering the final two weeks of the regular season.

Doubles duo No. 36 Sarah Dvorak and Sabrina Federici picked up a 6-4 win over OU’s Julie Byrne and Malene Stripp just before Alex Valenstein and Alba Cortina-Pou defeated Ann Selim and Simran Sethi, 6-1, to clinch the doubles point.

Oklahoma tied the match, 1-1, with a three set win over Alex Valenstein (6-2, 7-5) on court three.

Junior Gabriela Talaba gave the Lady Raiders the 2-1 advantage with a 6-3, 6-4 victory over No. 24 Lily Miyazaki on court one just before No. 56 Felicity Maltby took a two-set win (6-4, 6-3) over Mimi Fotopoulos on court two to give Tech the 2-1 lead.

The Sooners pulled within one as Malene Stripp defeated Sarah Dvorak in three sets (4-6, 6-2, 6-3).

Federici clinched the match for the Lady Raiders with a 6-4, 6-3 victory over Ann Selim in the no. 5 position. She is now 10-1 when playing at the no. 5 position.

UP NEXT

The Lady Raiders will host Iowa State and West Virginia for the final two Big 12 matches at the McLeod Tennis Center this season. The Cyclones come to town on Friday for a 3 p.m. first serve. Texas Tech faces the Mountaineers for an 11:30 a.m. match on Sunday.
