Happy Saturday Everyone! We are seeing a much calmer day today across the South Plains, however, Easter Sunday another chance of severe storms is in the forecast. Sunday nearly the entire region is in the slight risk category for severe weather potential. Hazards include damaging winds, large hail, heavy rainfall and isolated tornadoes. As you’re planning your Easter festivities be sure to keep updated. Aside from the chance of storms mostly sunny weather is expected with a high of 82 and a low of 57. Monday a slight chance of storms continues into the early morning hours with a high of 81 and a low of 55. Tuesday we see the chance of showers and storms move out of the forecast leaving us with mostly sunny skies, a high of 86 and a low of 55. Wednesday the sunshine continues with a high of 90 and a low of 58. Thursday the cool down begins dropping high’s into the upper 70’s with sunny skies. Friday high’s remain in the 70’s and a slight chance of rain returns. On Saturday sunshine is expected with the high dropping into the upper 60’s and the low into the 40’s.
