Happy Wednesday everyone! Today has been another hot and sunny day across the South Plains but we have a multitude of fronts headed our way which will change things up for the remainder of the work week. The first front will push into the region late tonight through early Thursday morning. This will allow for some much cooler temperatures across the region. Despite the fact that the front will clear the region early tomorrow morning, it will park itself just to the south, turning into a stationary front, allowing for the development of showers and thunderstorms Thursday night into Friday morning. Right now we have been placed under the Marginal Risk Category for strong to severe storms for the Northern South Plains during that time frame. This is subject to change so make sure to stay tuned for updates.

A second front is progged to push across the region late Friday night through early Saturday morning. This will cause us to see very windy conditions Friday afternoon and evening as well as another big drop in temperatures by Saturday afternoon. Sunshine will be abundant all weekend long and through the beginning of next week.
