Happy Thursday everyone! Today has been a cooler day across the South Plains due to the cold front that pushed through the region early this morning. Despite the fact that the front cleared the region early this morning, it will park itself just to the south, turning into a stationary front, allowing for the development of showers and thunderstorms tonight into Friday morning. Right now we have been placed under the Marginal Risk Category for strong to severe storms for the Northern South Plains during that time frame, with Hall County sitting under the Slight Risk Category.
A second front is progged to push across the region late Friday night through early Saturday morning. This will cause us to see very windy conditions Friday afternoon and evening as well as another big drop in temperatures by Saturday afternoon. Sunshine will be abundant all weekend long and through the beginning of next week.
