Happy Tuesday everyone! It has been another hot day across the South Plains with temperatures reaching into the upper 80’s, however with the cold front expected to push through the region tonight and tomorrow morning, we are expecting a drastic drop in temperatures tomorrow. Wednesday’s highs will remain way below average only reaching into the upper 60’s but temperatures will rebound quickly on Thursday. In terms of rain chances, we are expecting a slight chance for rain overnight tonight through mid-day tomorrow. Winds will also stay strong through this time period with gusts reaching up to 45 MPH.
Thursday and Friday will be hot and sunny days but Friday night we are watching for yet another cold front that will bring more windy conditions, another drop in temperatures, and more rain chances that will impact the region over the weekend. Make sure to keep your umbrellas handy this week and on sunny days wear sunscreen and stay hydrated!
