August 10th, 2016 Evening Forecast

Happy Wednesday everyone! We have a small line of thunderstorms moving across the South Plains that will bring heavy downpours at times and some gusty winds. Grab an umbrella before you head out the door and make sure to drive with caution. Storms are expected to continue for the next few days and as we move into the weekend, Tropical Depression Javier will pump moisture into the West Texas region bringing heavy rain and some much cooler temperatures. Flooding may be an issue over the weekend so watch for pooling water. Remember turn around, don’t drown. Highs are expected to drop into the low 80’s Saturday through Monday before heating up close to average by the middle of next week.
