Happy Thursday everyone! We have had another rainy and overcast day across the South Plains due to a stationary front sitting over the Southern Panhandle. Thankfully, due to the heavy cloud cover, our instability levels will be low. However, that does not rule out the possibility of a few strong to severe storms to pop up as cloud cover slowly diminishes. This will mainly be for the northern and eastern South Plains. Our main threats will be strong winds, heavy downpour, and therefore low visibility and possible street flooding.

Rain chances will continue but diminish over the next few days and temperatures will warm slightly from the mid-80’s to the upper 80’s and low 90’s by this weekend and the beginning of next week. Keep your umbrellas handy!
