Happy Saturday everyone! It has been another beautiful day across the South Plains with slightly warmer temperatures than yesterday. There is an upper level disturbance to our West, which will bring the chance for more isolated thunderstorms this afternoon and this evening. Storm chances will continue to stick around for the remainder of the weekend and increase throughout the first half of next week so make sure to keep your umbrellas handy!
We will also see a bit of a cool down for the start of the last week of August with temperatures dipping into the low 80’s on Monday and Tuesday. Then another warming trend will kick in but thankfully our temperatures will continue to stay below average until next Saturday!
