Happy Thursday everyone! We have had another dry, sunny, and warmer day but big changes are in our near future. Cloud cover will increase early tomorrow morning serving as the first indication of the changing forecast. This will help to keep our temperatures way below average with highs only reaching into the low to mid-40’s. Afternoon precipitation will remain in liquid form but as we move into the overnight hours tomorrow evening, some locations will see the rain change over to snow. This will mostly be in the far northwestern South Plains with some locations seeing snow totals between 1-3 inches. However, the majority of locations across the region will see relatively high rain totals this weekend. We are expecting rain to continue on and off throughout the weekend with temperatures remaining cold. The precipitation will begin to clear out on Monday with temperatures heating back to average to start the week.
