Happy Tuesday everyone! It have been another overcast day across the South Plains with the low pressure system slowly pushing out of the region. The wintry precipitation will taper off tonight, leaving us with mostly cloudy conditions. In spite of the fact that precipitation will end, still make sure to drive with caution because roadways will still be wet tonight and with freezing temperatures returning, icy roadways are expected. Starting Wednesday morning conditions will clear out, abundant sunshine will return, and temperatures will heat up, moving back into the mid-50’s Wednesday afternoon and then into the mid-70’s by Friday. Our next chance for precipitation will return Sunday night into Monday, but will be in the form of liquid rain with temperatures remaining above average through the beginning of next week.
