Happy Wednesday everyone! It has been a sunny, breezy, and warm day across the South Plains with temperatures sitting 15 – 20 degrees above average. Temperatures will remain above average tomorrow but a weak backdoor cold front will push into the region on Thursday night late through Friday morning, bringing a drastic drop in temperatures and a chance for some precipitation. Rain will begin late Friday afternoon and then transition over to sleet and freezing rain overnight and into Saturday morning. This pattern will continue with liquid rain expected again on Saturday late morning through much of your Sunday. Seasonal temperatures will return next week and we have more sunshine in the forecast!
