July 1st, 2016 Evening Weathercast

Good afternoon and happy Friday everyone! The atmosphere has become more stable today leaving us with mostly dry conditions to end the work week. There is an isolated chance of pop up thunderstorms in the Northeast corner of the South Plains but most folks will see abundant sunshine today! Tomorrow a weak cold front will move across the region bringing portions of the area a few more storm chances so make sure to stay weather aware throughout your holiday weekend festivities. Temperatures will remain in the mid-90’s for the next two days and then start heating up again just in time for the Fourth of July holiday. We can’t rule out isolated rain chances for the holiday but rain chances will be less compared to Saturday. Then the triple digits make their return briefly on Tuesday. Make sure to wear sunscreen and stay hydrated!
