Happy Thursday! Just like the past few days, it has been a hot and sunny Thursday across the South Plains with temperatures reaching into the mid-90’s. There will be a few chances for some more showers and thunderstorms this afternoon and early this evening but coverage will be limited and it is expected to end before midnight. Tomorrow low temperatures will remain about the same with low in the upper 60’s, but highs will only reach into the low-90’s. Then the warming trend will kick in over the weekend with highs reaching into the upper 90’s and then the triple digits on Tuesday. We will also see a few more chances for pop-up thunderstorms over the holiday weekend as well so make sure to stay weather aware. Also don’t forget the sunscreen and to stay hydrated!
