Meteorologist Alex O’Brien tracks the thunderstorm chances for the end of the work week.
TODAY: Warmer temperatures and an approaching front will spark up thunderstorms this afternoon. Temperatures will reach the mid to upper 80’s for the south plains. Storms will initiate around 3-4 pm north and west of the hub city. The storms will travel southeast overnight. Don’t be surprised if you wake up to the sound of thunder!
TOMORROW: Cloudy skies will linger from the overnight storms. Temperatures will warm by a couple more degrees into the upper 80’s. More storms are expected to develop in the afternoon. Hail and gusty winds are possible with the afternoon storms this week into the weekend.
