Meteorologist Alex O’Brien has the forecast for the weekend.
TODAY: Hot and sunny conditions will wrap up the work week! Expect highs in the mid to upper 90s for the South Plains. Lather up on the sunscreen, it will be sunny!
TOMORROW: We will start to feel changes coming our way as early as Saturday morning with higher humidity and increasing rain chances. Highs will still make it into the 90s before afternoon thunderstorms develop. Storms will be isolated and some may be strong.
SUNDAY: Widespread rain expected throughout the day. 50% chance of storms with some peaks of sunshine. Temperatures will cool back into the upper 80’s.
