Meteorologist has the forecast for the beginning of the week:

TODAY: Mostly sunny today with highs in the low 90’s across the South Plains. 30% chance of late afternoon storms. Expect development of thunderstorms in eastern New Mexico and the panhandle near dinner time. Storms will move southeast into the South Plains overnight.

TOMORROW: More cloud cover expected Tuesday, with highs in the upper 80s and low 90s for the region. More widespread storms possible across the South Plains. Initiation of storms will be in the afternoon and linger into the overnight hours.
