KAMC’s Storm Team Meteorologist Alex O’Brien has the forecast for 1.23.19.
TODAY: A cold start in the teens and 20s will be followed by a crisp winter afternoon. Temperatures today will reach the low 50s. The forecast for Lubbock is 53°. The sky will be filled with sunshine today and the wind will be light, making for a more comfortable day.
TOMORROW: A weak cold front gives a slight breeze Thursday and leaves our northern zones cooler. Temperatures towards Plainview will reach the mid-40s. The central and southern zones will make it to the low 50s, up to 50° in Lubbock.
LOOKING AHEAD: The trend of fairly weak and dry cold fronts will continue into the beginning of the weekend. Expect temperatures to stay steady in the low 50s through Saturday. Sunday is trending warmer, near the 60s. Then our next strong cold front blows in on Monday, leaving highs in the 40s to start next week.
