KAMC’s Storm Team Meteorologist Alex O’Brien has the forecast for 1.24.19.
TODAY: A breezy and sunny Thursday is in store. A cold front will keep winds out of the north today which will bring in cooler air. Highs in the northern South Plains will be in the mid 40s. Lubbock and the southern half of our region will make it to the low 50s. Winds will be sustained 15-25 mph from the northeast today.
TOMORROW: A few clouds move in tonight and will be with us Friday morning. Morning temperatures tomorrow will be very cold, in the low 20s for most. Bundle up as you head out the door! The afternoon Friday will be mostly sunny with light wind. High temperatures will be back to the low 50s, up to 53° in Lubbock.
THIS WEEKEND: The weekend start cool on Saturday with highs in the low 50s with a few clouds in the sky. Expect a boost in temperatures Sunday with low 60s likely. The warmer air does not last long as our next strong cold front comes Monday afternoon. The extended outlook is dry.
