KAMC HD Storm Team Weather Webcast 10.15.18

KAMC’s Storm Team Meteorologist Alex O’Brien has the forecast for 10.15.18.

TODAY: Lubbock’s first freeze occurred this morning at 4:35 am at the Lubbock Preston Smith International Airport. Based on records, the earliest freeze was October 7, 1952. The latest occurred on November 23, 2003. The average first freeze in Lubbock is October 31st. This afternoon will be cloudy and chilly, with a high of 41 in Lubbock. Winds will be breezy from the NNE, and gradually diminish this evening. Tonight will be cold again, near or just above freezing.


TOMORROW: Tuesday expect mid 40s in the southern South Plains up to the low 50s in the northern South Plains. The forecast high is 49 in Lubbock, with mostly cloudy sky conditions. Winds will be much lighter and still from the northeast.

THIS WEEK: The best chance of rain this week will be Wednesday evening into Thursday. These will be light showers with most accumulations less than 0.50″. Temperatures will stay well below average, in the 50s mid-week. 60s return Friday and stick around for the weekend, with more sunshine in store.
