KAMC’s Storm Team Meteorologist Alex O’Brien has the forecast for 12.4.18.
TODAY: A nice day is ahead for the South Plains. The forecast for Lubbock is 50 degrees, with a few clouds and light wind. The central and southern zones will see low 50s. The northern zones will see upper 40s, like Plainview at 48 today.
TOMORROW: The “warmest” day of the week will be Wednesday, with highs in the low 50s for most. The forecast for Lubbock is 52 degrees. Winds will be slightly breezy from the south 10-15 mph.
LOOKING AHEAD: The Storm Team is still tracking a storm event by the end of the week. Starting as rain Friday (50% chance), this event will transition to freezing rain Friday evening and fully to snow or a wintry mix by Saturday morning. Accumulations of snow, if at all should be light, but icy roads will cause hazardous travel conditions Friday and Saturday.
