KAMC’s Storm Team Meteorologist Alex O’Brien has the forecast for 12.28.17.
TODAY: We begin a warm up today for the region. There should be plenty of sunshine this afternoon and westerly wind will usher in warmer temperatures from west to east. Along the TX/NM border highs will likely reach the low 60s, here in Lubbock the forecast high is 56. Further east, off the Caprock cooler air will still remain in place today with highs in the 40s from Jayton to Paducah.
TOMORROW: Friday is the day everyone sees the heat. Highs will be 10-15 degrees above average. The forecast high for Lubbock is 67 degrees. Winds will be breezy out of the southwest. The sky will stay mostly sunny.
