A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY is in effect for Parmer, Castro, Swisher, Briscoe, Hall, Bailey, Lamb, Hale, Floyd, Motley, Cottle, Cochran, Hockley, Lubbock, Crosby, Dickens, King, Yoakum, Terry, Lynn, Garza, Kent and Lea counties until noon. Freezing drizzle left a glaze of ice on roadways this morning. Take extra caution traveling and budget in extra time today.

TODAY: After an icy morning commute, conditions will start to improve. By noon we expect temperatures to rise above freezing and clouds to start clearing out from west to east. Highs today will be in the low 50s. Overnight temperatures will be at or slightly below freezing once again.

TOMORROW: Temperatures climb back to average Friday, with a forecast high of 62 in Lubbock. The sky will be mostly sunny and winds will be out of the southeast 5-15 mph. Overall, a much improved forecast with no hazards expected.
