KAMC’s Storm Team Meteorologist Alex O’Brien has the forecast for 2.25.19.

TODAY: A mild day is in store, with high temperatures just above average. The forecast for Lubbock is 66° with mid 60s for the entire South Plains. We are in for plenty of sunshine today, with a bit of a breeze. Winds will be from the south 10-20 mph.

TONIGHT: Temperatures will bottom out in the upper 30s and low 40s tonight. Winds will be light this evening from the south. Some clouds will move into the region, but they will quickly clear by tomorrow.

THIS WEEK: Warm conditions are likely to persist all week long, with 70s in store for Lubbock. A stalling cold front will leave the panhandle much cooler Wednesday-Thursday, but that front is likely to stay just to the north of the Hub City. The next area-wide cold front comes Friday night into Saturday morning leaving the weekend in the 40s. That cooler weather sticks around into next week.
