KAMC’s Storm Team Meteorologist Alex O’Brien has the forecast for 3.14.19.

TODAY: Calmer conditions are ahead today after yesterday’s high winds. The top wind gust Wednesday in Lubbock was 68 mph, with many spots gusting over 70 mph. Today winds will turn out of the north, bringing in cooler air. Wind speeds will generally be less than 20 mph today. Highs will be in the low to mid 50s, up to 55 in Lubbock. Tonight will get cold, with mid 20s expected.

TOMORROW: We wrap up this week with temperatures still cool, in the low 50s Friday. The sky will be sunny and winds will be light from the east-northeast. 

THIS WEEKEND: Saturday will be partly cloudy and in the mid 50s. Sunday will be warmer for St. Patrick’s Day, barely reaching the low 60s. 60s are likely next week.
