KAMC’s Storm Team Meteorologist Alex O’Brien has the forecast for 3.19.19.

TODAY: It’s the last day of winter and it will feel quite mild today. The average high is 67° and Lubbock will likely make it there this afternoon. The entire South Plains will be in the mid to upper 60s. The sky will be clear with a few high clouds. Winds will be from the southwest 10-15 mph. Tonight clouds increase with a cold front on the way from the north.

TOMORROW: The morning cold front will bring some light rain to the panhandle and our northern zones, but for Lubbock we just start cloudy on the first day of Spring. Temperatures will be about 10 degrees cooler, with highs in the upper 50s. The clouds recede through the evening.

LOOKING AHEAD: The end of the week brings more clouds and some rain chances. The best chance at showers and isolated thunderstorms remains on Friday afternoon. By this weekend, the sky clears up and 70s return!
