TODAY: Happy Spring Equinox! The vernal equinox is at 4:58 pm this evening. Today will be cloudy in the morning followed by afternoon clearing. Temperatures will be mild this afternoon to 61° in Lubbock. Most of the region will be in the low 60s.
TOMORROW: More warmth is expected Thursday as southerly winds return. Temperatures will reach the mid 60s. Clouds move in from the west, and an isolated shower is possible near the Texas and New Mexico state line.
FRIDAY: A cloudy end of the week is expected with scatter rain and isolated thunderstorms in the afternoon. There is a 40% chance of rain in Lubbock, with thunder in the evening. Temperatures will reach the upper 50s and low 60s.
THIS WEEKEND: Spring-like 70s are in the forecast Saturday and Sunday with plenty of sunshine.
