KAMC’s Storm Team Meteorologist Alex O’Brien has the forecast for 4.30.19.

TODAY: Morning low clouds and drizzle will gradually clear out today as a dryline pushes east through the South Plains. This will leave sunshine and drier air this evening. As the dryline moves east, it may prompt isolated thunderstorms, mostly east of I-27. Temperatures will be slow to climb today due to morning clouds, but skyrocket this evening to the upper 70s and low 80s.

TOMORROW: Warm, sunny and dry will be the conditions felt Wednesday. Temperatures will climb to the mid-80s for most of the area. Winds will generally be light from the southwest, with a clear sky all day.

LOOKING AHEAD: A dry cold front drops temperatures to the 70s Thursday. From Friday and continuing into next week, the weather pattern becomes more unsettled. Expect a warm afternoons followed by a chance of thunderstorms in the evening Friday and into the weekend.
