KAMC HD Storm Team Weather Webcast 5.29.19.
This forecast is brought to you by J Ferg Pros.
TODAY: A cold front swept through the South Plains this morning, and it will stall out in the southern South Plains. This is creating rainfall for areas between Lamesa, Post, Guthrie, and southeast to Snyder this morning. In the afternoon a few isolated thunderstorms are possible for the central South Plains, but this chance is minimal. Temperatures will be cooler than average, to the mid 70s. The forecast for Lubbock is 76°.
TOMORROW: Temperatures will still be below average Thursday, to the upper 70s and low 80s. The sky will be mostly sunny all day. Thunderstorms are likely to develop in New Mexico Thursday evening, and drift into the South Plains after dark. These storms should remain isolated.
THIS WEEKEND: Friday through Sunday, there is a 20% chance of thunderstorms each day. The severe weather threat at this point looks low, but we will be watching conditions closely. Temperatures will rise back to the 80s this weekend.
